What’s the point of having this application – AND PAYING FOR THE “EXTRA FEATURES” – if it cannot do the one task it needs to? Would the Developer(s) of this application PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE work on resolving what should be the easiest feature to include? Literally every other iOS application has this feature, and the fact that this one doesn’t is beyond frustrating. I’ve tried extensively to search for this ability by managing my Actions Menu that pops up for opening files in other applications, and MediaInfo is the ONE APP out of several on my iOS devices that seems to be *incapable* of appearing in the menu when trying to share/open ANY sort of file from ANY other application. This app would be AMAZING and worth the price of the subscription fees I’m currently paying – if any ONLY IF – the application would show up as an option when selecting a file in any other app to, “Open in.’, where “MediaInfo” could ideally be an option. Would be 5 stars if you could add “Open In.” feature. The MediaInfo application, an Intel binary, does work running under Apple's Rosetta2 Intel emulation on the M1 Mac mini.MediaInfo is a convenient unified display of the most relevant technical and tag data for video and audio files. I suspect the issue is trying to load/execute an Intel library from a native Apple Silicon (ARM64) application. So now clicking the button opens a dialog and I can choose an audio file, but no matter what file I choose I get a dialog with an access violation and the option to Abort or continue and risk corrupting the universeĪlso note: the project did not work (Error while loading ibmediainfo.dylib) when compiled and run on the M1 Apple Silicon processor Mac mini. If creating an app using the wrapper you would normally include the library in the Resources folder of the application bundle and therefore need ti adjust the path accordingly (refer to the Wiki article Locating the macOS application resources directory for code to do this). Note both the name is different from your original code and that the path must be specified because the library is in the resources folder of the Mediainfo application bundle. ![]()
